Spanish Music in Exile is the work of Eva Moreda Rodríguez, a lecturer in Music at the University of Glasgow.

Eva’s work on Spanish exiled musicians has been published in several world-leading musicology journals, as well as by Routledge in the book Music and exile in Francoist Spain(2015). She is also the author of Music criticism and music critics in early Francoist Spain (Oxford University Press, 2016).

Eva is also keen to increase awareness about exiled composers among performers and the general public. She has given talks at the Instituto Cervantes in London about the music of the exiles and written notes for a recent recording of Bacarisse’s concertos.

The following blog post by Eva sums up some of her motivations to make use of online maps as part of her work on exiled composers.
